Psst… There is a better alternative for peracetic acid!

But what is peracetic acid?

Peracetic acid is a mix of acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide. It is a clear and colorless liquid with a characteristic acidic smell. This substance is produced by letting acetic acid react with hydrogen peroxide.

Peracetic acid is an organically linked acetic acid, this is a colorless liquid with the recognizable smell of vinegar. This liquid is mixable with water, peracetic acid also dissolves well with ethanol, sulphuric acid and di-ethylether. It is therefore logical that with using peracetic acid people take the necessary safety measures. However there is an alternative which is just as effective without needing to take any safety measures in usage.

This is a substance which is commonly used in the food preparation and treatment industry as a disinfection and cleaning product. Because this substance is effective against Bacteria and Fungi, it has also been used as a substance to treat fruit and vegetables since the 50s.

What is Watter Disinfection Solution?

Watter Desinfection Solution is a on-site produced environmentally friendly disinfectant which isn´t harmful for the environment nor for the health of man and animal. But what makes Watter Disinfection Solution a good alternative for peracetic acid?

How does Watter Disinfection Solution work?

The main active substance in Watter Disinfection Solution is HOCl. Thanks to our patented Watter Technology we can provide a system which produces HOCl on-site. In short, this technology uses a salt solution which is electrolyzed, this creates a disinfectant in which HOCl is the most important active substance. Because HOCl has an oxidizing property it is highly effective against fungi, yeasts, bacteria and viruses. This disinfectant can be applied in many areas in which hygiene is highly important. It is for example used a lot for drinking water disinfection in livestock and process water disinfection in industry. Watter Disinfection Solution has proven its effectiveness with our customers, are you ready to innovate your company?
