"Climate, feed and water," pig farmer Marco Striper effortlessly lists the basics for good health. Yet water is one of the components that can be unconsciously overlooked, as did the Nieuw-Schoonebeek resident: "Partly because I use tap water in the barn, it all seems fine, but bacteria don't care about that: water studies showed that there was room for improvement."
The entrepreneur therefore set to work to improve the quality of the drinking water at the nipple. "Regularly I had the water pipes flushed, but that is simply not enough. For a while I put chemicals on the water, but that really only helped things deteriorate. Both in terms of water quality and in the wallet," laughs the pig farmer.

After consulting with the feed consultant, Marco took the transition to try the Watter system. And delivered him no dissapointment: "In particular, health has made considerable transitions. The feed dosage has dropped by more than 50%. I also notice that with clean water you can go 'full throttle' in terms of feed. As a result, the animals get much more out of their feed and that, of course, also delivers profit."
